  They never had that one. That must have come from another religious book. I suggest Stephen King's book, "The Birds." They do have one about Satan's birds picking off the wheatlings before they can hatch, which is very similar. I messed that one up on purpose for fun. It's a blend of two verses.

  I loved the "Kiss the Son..." because it was pretty and so respectful of Jesus, which I agree with. Also, We're JWs--the worshipping wood and stone one is good for removing fear of inanimate objects. I don't fear churches or crosses anymore like they want us to (not because of this song, though).

  Men must sport brand new hair cuts at every meeting or risk going into back room.

  Baby boys and newborns must wear minature suits and ties, and infant girls must wear dresses or face the above.

  Shave ALL facial hair if a man. If an old womyn: don't pluck anything from face, but leave all mole and chin hairs in place (shows maturity).

  Don't pierce anything. Womyn: only one set of holes in ears, if that.

  Have a callous on right bird finger knuckle from knocking on doors.

  New bookbag, old torn-up, marked in red or pink neon Bible and wrinkled WT for meetings.

  As per the Taliban, women who accept rides from men in cong. must ride in back seat lest they decide to park and f***. And, they WILL do it if they ride in front together because all worldly people do it every chance they get!

  i saw all the hubbub you folks were making over the memorial, and for the first time in my life since leaving the j-dubs, i had no desire to even go.

  as recently as last year, i gave thought to going, but usually did not.

  this year it came and went and i never gave it a thought.

  I had a hard time keeping up good meeting attendance even when I was neck deep into it, so for me, not going to memorial was not that difficult. I simply forgot!

  i don't know what to expect from them but i thought i should expect something.

  Oh, geez! That's all I need now, especially after my interpreter showed up at my door while I was in school. My girl answered and said that I have crazy stuff going on with school, right now, and probably won't make it. I will just simply say that I don't want it anymore. What might they do? Anyone with experience with this? The elders have NEVER shown up once in the 1 1/2 years that I stopped going. My terp only showed up three times. Might they just ignore it? Nervous now.

  I'm pretty easy going, so the songs didn't really bother me except for the melody of song 100 in the pink song book. It was "God's Own Book--a treasure." That is the ugliest melody to me . Yes, the one you said was irritating, too . They sure do work hard to convince everyone that we are living in a hell.

  I went to the Memorial.

  i'm just going to start at the beginning.. i was anticipating the memorial all day.

  i was nervous but excited, kind of like standing in line for a roller coaster.. ok. so erika gets ready at her house, and i get ready at mine.

  i'm wearing a black suit with a light green shirt, and a tie that had hues of green and yellow in it.

  I didn't go, for the first time in my life and my children's lives, as well. My son stayed at home and my daughter and I went to the church to do the final rehersal for the Easter production "The Power of his Love." I feel that that was the point of memorial, not the passing of food you can't even eat. That doesn't make any sense to me, passing food no one is alowed to eat. What's the point of that, anyway? They leave out the most important part of the memorial which Jesus required for everlasting life: eating his "body" and drinking his "blood." Passing the emblems was only so Jesus didn't have to put it into their mouths himself. Passing them around doesn't mean a thing, symbolically. I think Catholics do that with the wafer being placed on the tongue by someone else. But, really, JWs do miss the point. Strain gnats (meaningless and some dangerous ritualisms) and gulp cammels (twisted, self-serving style of something they call "love").

  Remember, that my faith has been squashed down to nothing except for my belief that someone intellegent must have created this. So, when I speak of Jesus, it is with a hope that he was and is real and also that my faith in him will exist again. It takes more than just telling a person that he is real. It takes time and experience with his love to know it in the "heart."

  Found-my-way,

  That was rude of the CO! They don't provide anything but a hard table to care for babies. No nursery, no nothing. The nursery thing would save so many babies and tots from horrible beatings--er--loving, Bible based correction during the meetings and also make it so they didn't bother others by their quite normal noisy playing or crying. Poor babies!

  Dupe that I was, I loved, no, LOVED all of it. Although, the special talk didn't seem any different from any other talk except for maybe being more about all other religions are about to bite the dust and worldly people, too. Those talks were always dark with death on one side and oppressive WT rule on the other. One sister said that we would only have KDom songs in the new order. I loved to stay in motels and tents and camp and and and...oh, swimming pools and eating out in restaurants--Don't forget the lapel card and dress clothes! But why did an assembly have to be attached every single time I went anywhere? JW families can't usually afford to do a normal vacation, so they make the assembly into one, sort of. Remember the counsel to attend all the meetings even on vacation lest temptation ensnare us?

  Jesus went to one meeting a week. Did Jesus go to an assembly in Jerusalem every year or every 7 years? Jesus sent out the 70 into the city to preach. What was Jesus doing while they preached? I don't mean any disrespect to Him, but maybe he was collecting time cards and calculating time in the field plus any literature placed in all of the cities they visited. Hmmm...talk about adding to and taking away from what's written. Just a thought on one of my little side tracts:) Did I mention that I love to write, hahaha.

  Don't forget the DO visit. Then there is the CO/DO visit all in one. It's sick that my former interpreter only came by for those special times to convince me to go. We were supposed to be friends, good friends. That just showed me her desire to be seen by them. Interpreters are very conspicuous. Friendships based on religion, or anything other than real interest or love, will NOT stand the test of fire (in this case, missed meetings). Live and learn and then get WISE! :) Yeah, I know. I tend to change the subject at a whim. Sorry!
